Richard Lee Schneider, NP

Board-certified nurse practitioner Richard Schneider, AG-ACNP-BC, CWON, specializes in wound, ostomy, and lymphedema care. He treats a wide range of conditions, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, pressure injuries, burns, and surgical wounds, among others.

When Richard’s mother became ill and passed away, the heartbreaking loss prompted him to pursue medicine so he could help others facing health difficulties.

“I get to see wounds heal and give people part of their lives back,” he says. “Having an ostomy can be a disorienting experience. It is profoundly personal and can be isolating, disfiguring, and inconvenient. It is my honor to help make it tolerable and sometimes better.”

When not busy caring for patients, Richard enjoys hiking, camping and gardening. He and his wife, Portia, have three sons, three cats, twelve chickens, two goldfish and two lambs.
