Prio Hossain, MD

Prio Hossain, MD, MPH, is a vascular surgeon who is trained and specializes in both conventional open vascular surgery, as well in endovascular (minimally-invasive) therapies, such as arterial and venous stenting, aneurysm repair, and dialysis access creation.

Dr. Hossain’s initial interest in medicine stemmed from his personal experiences shadowing physicians during his adolescence. In these experiences, he learned of and was inspired by the level of faith and trust that patients placed in their physicians. “I decided to take this path because it allowed me the privilege of entering into the sacred space of a patient’s life to do everything I can to make them feel heard and help to heal them during the most vulnerable times of their lives,” Dr. Hossain says. Dr. Hossain values connecting with his patients, and believes spending time getting to know them on a deeper level builds stronger and more meaningful physician-patient relationships.

Dr. Hossain fluently speaks English, Bengali, as well as conversational Spanish.
