Biografía
Despite being away from his home of Sandy, Oregon for many years, Dr. Michael Dirks has had the opportunity to return full circle and support the community that once did the same for him during his formative years.
After graduating from Sandy High School in 2010 (Go Pioneers!), Dr. Dirks left to study Biochemistry and Spanish at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon. It was during this time that he developed his interest and passion for working with the underserved and the Hispanic/Latino population.
After college, Dr. Dirks moved and lived in Cusco, Peru where he volunteered his time at an orphanage and solidified both his Spanish-speaking skills and his interest in becoming a physician.
He graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019 and completed a residency in family medicine at Providence Milwaukie in 2022.
Dr. Dirks is passionate about preventive and integrative health with aims of providing root-cause analysis of common chronic conditions and providing evidence-based approaches for integrative health modalities — AKA he loves talking about nutrition, exercise, mindfulness.
In his spare time, Dr. Dirks loves to be outside, working on trucks/motorcycles, exercising and spending time with his family.

Highly recommend Dr. Dirks!! Moved up here a year ago to live with my son & daughter in law, & it was hard to leave My years if seeing my same good doctors! Meeting Dr. Dirks, made me feel as comfortable as I had been with my old Dr & team!!
