Biografía
Michael Owens, MD, is driven to provide excellence in health care. As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Owens is an expert in all the organs that form the digestive tract. He has a special interest in developing new treatments and devices.
Dr. Owens earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He received a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Washington in Seattle.
A keyboard player, Dr. Owens is in multiple music bands. He also studies astronomy and earth sciences, has a family of avid readers, sails a restored 1976 Ranger 20 and spends as much time outdoors as possible.

Dr. Owens always listens attentively and explains everything. I learn so much at every visit. I like the way my care plan is discussed with me and all options and possibilities are explained thoroughly.

Dr Owens was empathetic and provided a concise explanation of the procedure he would perform and an explanation of a different procedure should they elect to do one over the other.
