Mauricio Jose Heilbron, Jr., MD

Mauricio Heilbron, MD, is a board-certified surgeon specializing in general, trauma and vascular surgery. With more than 26 years of experience practicing medicine, performing surgeries and conducting research, lectures and leadership, he offers a wide range of treatments including hernia repair, varicose vein surgery, gallbladder surgery, dialysis access procedures, and removal of lipomas and masses. 

Inspired by his father who was also a surgeon, Dr. Heilbron pursued medicine out of a deep desire to help others. He finds great joy in interacting with patients, contributing to his local community and providing exceptional care tailored to each person’s unique health needs.

In his leisure time, Dr. Heilbron enjoys listening to music of all genres, adding to his extensive book collection and watching movies old and new. He was born and raised in Long Beach, California and fluently speaks both English and Spanish.
