Biografía
Dr. Matthew Satcher is a board-certified family medicine physician. He chose to practice family medicine because he wanted to help people in the area of greatest need. He loves the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with patients and values the people he works with.
“I feel like I'm filling an important need here in this community,” he says.
Dr. Satcher has a rich educational and career background. A double major in philosophy and religious studies, he worked as a staff writer at a local newspaper and a filmmaker before pursuing a medical career. He says this change gave him the opportunity to help others in an immediate way. A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Satcher completed his residency at the school’s Tuscaloosa campus.
In his free time, Dr. Satcher enjoys hiking and reading science fiction and fantasy books.

Dr. Satcher is very caring and is tuned into my concerns, which makes it so easy for me to talk to him. I deal with chronic pain from my Ankylosing Spondylitis, and also increased pain in my hip. He's a wonderful doctor and would highly recommend him to family and friends.
