Biografía
Board-certified physician Mark Burge, MD, specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. For 35 years, he has devoted himself to helping adults navigate their health journeys. He commonly treats diabetes, diseases affecting the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, and gonadal systems, and related conditions.
Dr. Burge enjoys connecting with patients and looking for joy and laughter in life. He has family members with diabetes, and loving them is what inspired him to pursue a career in medicine.
Along with his extensive clinical background, Dr. Burge brings decades of experience as a distinguished professor and prolific researcher. He has taught medical students for 25 years, authored and collaborated on hundreds of published studies, and written and reviewed nearly 50 books and chapters in his field.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Burge enjoys golf, reading, and rock 'n' roll music. He’s married with two adult children.

Dr. Burge was fabulous. He thoroughly explained my situation, was extremely cordial and helpful. I could have not asked for a better experience.

Dr Burge is an exceptional person in my opinion. First thing he did was feel my neck from behind and lightly pressed on exactly where it was. We discussed my case and together we decided what's next. If I added information in that he didn't necessarily need, he didn't let on and continued to listen. He was comfortable but very professional. He explained the future too. I really like him.

He was a little rushed. I think he had a mental checklist of things we needed to schedule or get accomplished but didn't ask a ton of questions about my experience or what I knew about my diagnosis.

Dr Burge was welcoming, highly knowledgeable, and made sure he understood my questions and concerns. He thoroughly explained the various aspects of my health issues and treatment options.

Dr. Burge is an absolutely a fantastic addition to Adventist Health! He listened attentively and then got to the point. Diagrams and all!Dr. Burge showed great compassion, gave me clear instructions to follow and assured me he would monitor my labs and follow up when needed. I left feeling well taken care of and, honestly, pretty blessed.
