Mark G Kowall, MD

With over three decades of experience on the Central Coast, Dr. Kowall is a well-known and trusted orthopedic surgeon, performing knee and shoulder repair, joint replacement, a variety of hand, wrist and ankle procedures, and more. He is grateful for the opportunity to improve his patients’ pain issues, which elevates their quality of life and ability to remain active.

Dr. Kowall sees patients ages 12 and over for concerns such as rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, knee meniscus and ligament injuries, knee and shoulder arthritis, and all types of sports injuries.

Along with his medical degree, Dr. Kowall has an MBA degree from the University of California, Irvine. He enjoys cycling, running, snow skiing, hiking, traveling and spending time with friends and family — including his wife and their adult son and daughter.
