Biografía
Laramie C. Punzalan, MSN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In her practice, she addresses medical concerns such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, urinary tract infections and cold and flu symptoms. She also invests time helping patients with preventative care such as routine physicals, well woman exams and cancer screenings.
The desire to practice medicine is a very personal one for Laramie. She tells this story about what brought her to her nursing, “Just before my second birthday, I got sick with a lung infection and needed to be on a ventilator for several days. Every time my mother tells this story, she shares it with the same awe and gratitude. Now as a parent myself, I can only imagine the fear, hope and relief she must've experienced. I thankful for the entire healthcare team who took care of me.”
Laramie earned a Master of Science in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from California State University located in Carson. She also has a Bachelor of Science in clinical psychology from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Manila and an Associate of Science in registered nursing from the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California.
Born in Quezon City in the Philippines, Laramie is a fluent English speaker as well her native Tagalog. She has a powerful desire to help others and give back to her community.
