Katharine Marie Mason-Ellis, PA-C

Katie Mason-Ellis, PA-C, is a certified physician associate specializing in primary care. Passionate about helping patients of all ages live healthier lives, she provides wellness visits, preventive care, and personalized treatment for a wide range of chronic and acute conditions. “I really enjoy the continuity of care with patients that comes with a primary care setting,” she says. “Adventist Health is a culture that really cares.”

In her daily interactions with patients, Katie connects with each person individually, listens to their concerns, and helps them learn how to improve their health in practical terms that make sense. “Building relationships with patients and educating them so they understand their health conditions is very rewarding,” she shares.

Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Katie worked as a physical therapy associate. After a few years in that position, she decided to expand her expertise beyond the musculoskeletal system and into a broader patient care role. She returned to school, earned her medical degree from Heritage University in Toppenish, Washington, and achieved certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assocaite. She has also received extensive training in cardiology and worked specifically with heart patients for years.

When she’s not caring for patients, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and kids. She finds fun and fulfillment in being outdoors, traveling, gardening, and tackling home remodeling projects. A proud University of Oregon alum, Katie is also a passionate Oregon Ducks football fan!
