Biografía
Board certified orthopedic surgeon, John Diana, MD, is Chief of the Hip Division at the Coon Joint Replacement Institute, specializing in minimally invasive knee and hip replacement surgery.
Dr. Diana has performed approximately 2000 hip replacement surgeries, nearly half of which were performed using the anterior hip replacement approach. He has performed over 2000 knee joint replacement surgeries, is highly regarded for his work in computer-assisted navigation for joint replacement surgery, and is certified as a MAKO™ robotic surgeon for both knee and hip replacements.
Dr. Diana focuses extensively on minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, using the latest state-of-the-art technologies. Using these minimally invasive surgical techniques may reduce pain, restore mobility and promote a quick return to normal activities for patients suffering from osteoarthritis and other conditions.
Dr. Diana graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University, and earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded Chief Residency of Orthopedic Surgery. As Chief Resident, Dr. Diana received the DeForest Willard Award, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a graduate.Dr. Diana is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee surgeons.
A devoted family man, Dr. Diana enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter. His primary interest, outside of work and time with family, is ultrarunning. Ultrarunning is primarily trail running and involves races over a marathon distance. Dr. Diana was a volunteer physician for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in 2012, and is a member of the USATF. He has also done volunteer medical work in both Guatemala and Kenya, providing medical services and education.

Attentive to every detail, as the complete lower half of my body is dramatically improved. Now working so much better than before ... Which ... Sadly, was not being able to show a walking gait to tbe doctor because of pain and deformityin the span of 20 yearsI was NON-AMBULATORY. Now my legs are proper ... Which is taking some getting used to ... Much like driving a brand new sports car or high powered motorcycle.

Dr. Diana was AMAZING! He identified mild hip dysplasia from the xray which he said he could fix while doing replacement surgery. He recommended me for out-patient surgery, and was personable and relatable. He was so positive and upbeat about my recovery!
