Biografía
Board-certified surgeon John Yonge, MD, provides specialized surgical treatments for a wide range of conditions, including obesity, acid reflux, and hernia. Passionate about increasing the health of patients, he believes in empathy, humility, and a sense of human wellbeing.
Over the course of his extensive training and background, Dr. Yonge has received numerous honors, awards and medals. He served in the United States Navy for 12 years, including as a Forward Deployed Surgeon, Director of Surgical Services, and Lieutenant Commander.
A prolific researcher and professor, Dr. Yonge has authored textbook chapters, published articles in peer-reviewed journals, presented lectures at conferences, and taught surgical techniques to medical students. His many certifications include robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and advanced endoscopy.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Yonge enjoys working with veterans and spending time with his beautiful wife, baby daughter, and Siberian Husky, Bacchus.

Simply superb; In consultation; addressing the patient's concerns - explaining the procedure to provide relief capably and patiently. I appreciated also the Surgeon's time to converse with the patient just prior to the procedure. Best of all, a positive outcome from his skillful work. A great courtesy subsequently is his availability for consultation during recovery; few realize sometimes how important this is for a patient. I am very grateful for Dr. Yonge's skill, and kindness!
