James Edward Weeks Meeker, MD

Dr. James Meeker is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon on faculty at OHSU with sub-specialized expertise in foot and ankle disorders. He chose this field within orthopaedics because treating foot and ankle maladies is tremendously meaningful.
When people share their foot and ankle problems, it is his mission to work with them to achieve practical solutions that address their functional goals. "It's particularly gratifying to see an athlete return to sport after treating their injury," says Dr. Meeker. "Equally inspiring are the stories of patients who simply return to activities they enjoy such as hiking, cycling, or even taking their dog for a walk."
In his role as an educator at OHSU, he finds it privilege to share these experiences with the next generation of physicians and surgeons.
