Biografía
Board-certified nurse practitioner Greg Johnson, AG-ACNP-BC, specializes in cardiology. “I enjoy educating people on their heart conditions and restoring and improving their quality of life," he says.
Greg’s medical career began as a firefighter and paramedic at a busy Chicago-area department. His grandmother, who was a nurse for 60 years, offered to pay for his nursing school, which he gratefully accepted as a natural progression toward his love of helping people.
Over nearly 30 years, Greg’s experience has included many clinical roles, including emergency room and ICU nurse, flight nurse in Alaska, hospitalist, and, now, acute care and cardiology nurse practitioner. He proudly served as an Air Force nurse for eight years, including a deployment to Iraq where he cared for wounded soldiers.
As free time allows, Greg enjoys making memories with family, traveling, and riding his motorcycle.
