I have no idea to what extent my medical care was coordinated after discharge from the hospital. I received Home Health Care services, but didn't get the impression that was coordinated with the care provider - but I don't really know.

I came to the pre-surgery visit with a major concern about differences in information from two colonoscopies done 8 1/2 months apart - differences which I feared could be quite significant in determining exactly where the stenosis to be removed is located. I was so concerned that I copied the 4 and 5 lines of Findings from each of the colonoscopies into a new document which I gave to the surgeon. I expressed concern that I could end up with an ostomy rather than just a removal of a stenosis that was only 5 cm originally. He glanced at it and handed it back and said something about perhaps inserting a very small ?camera? To look at the area and then he moved on to discussing generalities. I have now read the surgeon's Visit Summary on MyChart and there is NO MENTION OF MY CONCERN and no mention of the 10-15 cm difference in the reported location of the stenosis' beginning. Perhaps minimizing my concerns is supposed to be reassuring, IT IS NOT. He spent about 10 minutes with me.
