Eli Ralph Capouya, MD

Dr. Eli Capouya is a cardiothoracic surgery specialist with more than 30 years of distinguished experience. Recognized as a leader in advanced and minimally invasive cardiothoracic surgery techniques, he treats a variety of diseases, injuries, and conditions of the body’s most vital organs. He is board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Cardiology, a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and a member of the Western Thoracic Surgical Association.

Dr. Capouya trained in general surgery at The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, and in cardiothoracic surgery at UCLA Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Birmingham.
