Chukwuka Akamnonu, MD

A board-certified and fellowship-trained endocrinologist, Dr. Akamnonu provides expert, compassionate care enhanced by a decade of medical practice experience. He emphasizes listening to and understanding his patients, as well as identifying social or economic barriers that may play a role in disease and disease management.

Serving patients ages 18 and older, Dr. Akamnonu treats a range of conditions, including thyroid disease, diabetes, adrenal and pituitary issues, parathyroid disease, testosterone imbalance, and osteoporosis. He also provides care related to weight and metabolic health.

Dr. Akamnonu was born in Nigeria and has lived in the U.S. since 2005. In addition to English, he speaks Igbo. He and his wife, who is also a physician, have two children and a dog. In his free time, he enjoys trying new foods, traveling, and experiencing other cultures.
