Biografía

Christopher A. Sarkiss, MD, FACS, FAANS, FCNS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with fellowship training in neurosurgical oncology and spine from the University of Miami Health System/Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Mount Sinai Health System. He specializes in complex, minimally invasive brain and spine surgery. Dr. Sarkiss is dedicated to a personalized approach, guiding his patients through their neurological challenges with skill and compassion to help them regain function and improve their quality of life.

Serving adult patients, Dr. Sarkiss treats conditions such as brain and spine tumors, pituitary and skull base disorders, degenerative spine disease, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and nerve compression. He is experienced in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive endoscopic surgery, awake craniotomy, brain mapping, robotic surgery, and laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT).

A native of California, Dr. Sarkiss graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and a minor in political science. He earned his medical degree with honors from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed his neurosurgical residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is an active fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

In his free time, Dr. Sarkiss enjoys playing basketball, photography, traveling, and spending time with his family.
