Alexa L Calfee, MD

Board-eligible obstetrician and gynecologist and robotically trained specialist Alexa Calfee, MD, MPH, cares for women through all stages of life and provides well woman exams, family planning, prenatal care, gynecological surgery and more.
Dr. Calfee received her bachelor’s degree in biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While working on her undergraduate degree, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico. Dr. Calfee then attended the University of California, Davis, where she earned her medical degree and a master’s degree in public health. During this time, she participated in Rural PRIME (Programs in Medical Education) Leadership Pathway, a state-wide initiative designed to encourage medical students interested in serving rural and underserved populations to pursue careers in primary care.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Calfee enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog, Scooter, and her pastimes include downhill skiing, dancing and cooking for friends and family.
