Abraham Avi Nisim, MD

Avi Nisim, MD, is a General Surgeon for the Adventist Health Physicians Network in downtown Bakersfield. He is fellowship trained in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. He speaks three languages, including Spanish and Hebrew.

Dr. Nisim was born in Israel and lived on the East Coast for several years before moving to the West Coast. His family moved to Kern County to allow his son the opportunity to be raised in a family-oriented, friendly community. Dr. Nisim offers his patients a variety of surgical options. He strongly believes that lifestyle modifications such as proper nutrition and physical and mental health are key to both long—and short—term healing.

Dr. Nisim loves saltwater fishing with his family and participating and supporting his son’s sports activities.
